I don't use my computer very much. Is an online course right for me?
You don’t have to be a computer expert to take our online courses. All of our courses contain navigation tutorials to help you quickly become comfortable with moving around. And certainly, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call our Technical Support department.

How do I get a username and password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it?
During the registration process, you select your own username and password. It should be something that you can easily remember. You will use the same username and password each time you log in to access your course(s). This information is entered in the Student Login portion of our website. If you forget your username and password, just give us a call.

I haven’t gotten into my course yet, but the My Courses page shows a status of "In Progress".
Don’t let this confuse you. Your status will change to "In Progress" the first time that you select the course. This is not an indication that you have actually started the course. Your status will continue to show "In Progress" until you finish the course, at which time, it will change to "Completed".

Why does my course window disappear when I am working in a course?
There is a good possibility that you clicked outside of your course window. When this happens, it seems that your course disappears; however, it is simply hiding behind another open window. Click the tabs in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen to move your course window on top. You can also close all open windows and then log back into your course.

I walked away from my computer without closing the course. Now when I come back, the course has frozen on me. What happened?
Your course timed out. To prevent this from happening in the future, please make sure that you exit your course if you are going to be away for an extended period of time. Close all course windows and log back in.

If the course freezes, will it save where I left off?
Yes, every course page that you visit is recorded in our database as a completed page. In addition, our course "bookmarks" the last page that you visited, allowing you to return to where you left off when you exit – even if the course locks up for some reason.

My system is asking me to download the latest version of Flash. Is this really necessary?

I have just completed Unit 1 and can’t take the Quiz. What’s happening?
Sometimes, a student may think that they are taking their online course when they are actually in the free demo. Make sure that you are logged into your account (with your username and password that you selected when you registered) and the course that you purchased.

The quiz won’t load. I have tried exiting and restarting my course but it still not loading.
More than likely, you do not have the correct version of Flash installed. Click here to download the latest version of Flash. When you are finished, you will need to restart your computer and then log back into your course. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, please contact Technical Support.

Can I take more than one course at a time? Can I have two courses open on my computer at the same time?

You offer a fixed hour CE package. Do I need to take that many hours?
In order to make it easy for you, we provide a "bundle" of courses at a package price that meets the hourly requirement for continuing education for your industry. You’ll notice that packages provide a lower cost option than buying each course separately. If you need less hours than the package provides, you may also individually purchase courses (pick your own).

I have already completed one continuing education course but now I want a package. How do I do that?
Unfortunately, if you have already completed a continuing education course that is part of a package, we can’t convert you. However, if you haven’t started your course and would like to convert to a package, we’d be glad to help you. Just give us a call.
